Located between Lake Austin and FM 620, the Steiner Ranch community is home to nearly 6,000 households. Up until the late 80s, Steiner Ranch was a working cattle ranch until a real estate developer, AI Hughes, bought and started the Steiner Ranch development. However, it wasn’t until the early 2000s when we started to see the massive growth that created what we know as Steiner today.
Today, Steiner Ranch is home to various restaurants, businesses, The UT Golf Club, The Lake Austin Spa and Resort, and more than 35 different neighborhoods. The community is a great place to live if you enjoy spending time outdoors. There are numerous walking and hiking trails and if boating or fishing is your forte there’s also easy access to Lake Austin.

Steiner Ranch Schools
Homes in Steiner Ranch feed to three different elementary schools: Steiner Ranch Elementary, River Ridge Elementary, and Laura Welch Bush Elementary.
